Looking for pictures/Benefit Dance Event by Step Play

We are currently looking for pictures from 20th.

We have sent out e-mails to report about 20th, but some of them are not quite readable..

We will try to fix it asap.

Meantime, we would like to announce some benefit events that are going on this weekend.

Steplay  are having a benefit dance event for the Earthquake and Tsunami relief.

Date: March 27 Sunday 8:30PM

Place: Ballet Arts (6th Floor)

130 west 56th street, 6 floor (Bet 6av and 7av)

Price:$15+ pay as you wish donation.

Final Report of March 20th.

Dear participants of the benefit concert on March 20th,

Thank you so much again for coming out to support the benefit concert
for the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief by Tinyhands' Big Love
Project.

Thanks to every single one of your help, we were able to collect
$4192.55 in total.
As of March 23 Wednesday, we successfully transfered all the money to
Medicins Sans Frontiers Japan (doctors without borders).

As we have said, we believe it is very crucial to continue our support
toward the cause as a long-term mission and we would like to hear your
honest feedback to make this project more sufficient and functional.
If you have any questions, or wish to participate as volunteers,
performers, or artists in the future, please feel free to reach us.

３／２０の東北大震災支援コンサートへご参加くださった皆様、

日曜日は支援コンサートへ足を運び頂き、また沢山の応援をして頂き心よりお礼申し上げます。
皆様一人一人のお心、ご支援のおかげで、総額４１９２ドル５５セントの募金を集めることが出来ました。
本日３／２３日水曜日の午後、無事上記総額を日本の国境なき医師団へ送金して参りましたので、ここにご報告いたします。


会場でもお伝えしたように、我々は今後も地道に復興支援を出来る限り応援してゆくつもりです。

Please make sure to bring your ID tomorrow.
Entire Lower East Side including The Living Room is very strict about this.

If you could come with your parent(s), you will be fine.
If not, we are really sorry for letting you know about this late.

Line up for 20th.／musicians/artists

I would like to introduce a few more acts that will be performing on 20th.

Masami Morimoto is NY based-baritone. He is only one Japanese baritone in NY.

He has appeared on Mostly Mozart Festival, NY Philharmonic, American Symphony, Little Orchestra Society to name a few.

 Next one is Chiyong meets Frying Pan Mothers. They are collective of Ny based musicians who are actively performing on local music scene.  The singer/songwriter Chiyong is the Lead and sings R&B/Jazz/Pop. The following is the members: Etsuko (pf), Takuya Kuroda(Tr),  Jamaal Sawyer(sax), Soshi Uchida (bass), and Tomoaki Kanno (drums)



There are also few more visual artist joining us on Sunday.

当日までになるべく出演者さんの情報をすこしでもアップしたいと思っています。
色々後ろ手に回っていますが。ぼちぼちと。
まずは、バリトンのマサミ・モリモト氏。NYで唯一の日本人バリトンだそうです。
NYフィル、アメリカン交響楽団、モストリーモーツァルトフェスティバル等でご活躍なさっています。
当日は、バイオリンのさゆり・ライオンズさん、と作曲家でありピアニストの北村ゆいさんといつもと葉違ったジャンルの歌を歌ってくださるそうです。


もう一組この記事でご紹介したいのが、ローカルニューヨークで幅広く活躍しているミュージシャン達が集結したバンド、Chiyong meets Frying Pan Mothers。R&B/Jazz/POPを歌うシンガーソングライターのChiyong（チヨン）率いるFrying Pan Mothersのメンバーは、ジャズをベースにNY、ドイツ、日本で活躍中のトランペット奏者のTakuya Kuroda、アフロラテンで奏でるジャズピアニストのEtsuko、ジャズサックスのJamaal Sawyer、ネオブルース巻きのリーダーでもあるベーシストのSoshi Uchida、レッドライオンなどでレギュラー出演しているドラムのTomoaki Kanno。Chiyongのオリジナルを初め、ジャズやスタンダード楽曲をFrying Pan Mothersバージョンでアレンジするなど、どこか懐かしいけど新しい音を追求しつづけるバンド。

またチャリティセールに参加してくださるアーティストがまた増えました。

今回の国境なき医師団の支援について/About our support toward MSF Japan (doctors without borders in Japan)

先にお知らせした通り、２０日の収益はすべて日本の国境なき医師団（以下MSF）に送る予定としていますが、ここで一つ大事な追記があります。
支援対象を選んで募金が出来るようになっているのですが、
以下のことを明記してください、とMSF様側からの要望がありましたので、付け加えます。

今回の支援金の累計額が「国境なき医師団」による救援活動の総支出額を、万一超過する場合もございますので、その際は当該超過分につき本件とは別の緊急支援・援助活動に振替えさせて頂くことがございます。


As we mentioned earlier, we are planning to send our donation to MSF Japan, (Medecins Sans Frontiers a.k.a doctors without borders or 国境なき医師団)
I just have to make a note of their disclaimer that they ask to clarify on our page here.

By not restricting your contribution for a specific emergency or project,

Important Updates: For minors who are planning to attend on 20th.

We have an important announcement regarding 20th.
As the venue has over 21 policy, please come with your parent(s) if you are underage and would like to come support.
Please be aware that the venue has given such a generous offer to give us this time in such a short time notice. We appreciate your understanding.


Another update is that there are two more vendors who are willing to donate their works.
One is Brown Rice Family's organic soap.
The band who is playing on 20th is also a wonderful soap maker.

Another one is Sky Kim. She is donating her drawings for the cause.
